Medical Research Future Fund consultation for the development of the Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy and related Priorities

This phase of the consultation process is now closed.

The Australian Medical Research Advisory Board held its first meeting at Parliament House on 4 May 2016.  Under the Medical Research Future Fund Act 2015, the Advisory Board is tasked with determining the Australian Medical Research and Innovation Strategy (Strategy) and related Priorities.  The Strategy is determined every five years and the Priorities every two years.

Members of the Advisory Board want to work with the community to shape the Strategy and identify the Priorities for the Medical Research Future Fund. 

Your opinions are essential to ensure an appropriate focus for the Medical Research Future Fund Strategy, and the initial round of Priorities.  The Advisory Board is keen to hear views and ideas from those who deliver, use or stand to benefit from health services and health and medical research. 

The Advisory Board will be accepting written submissions from 6 May 2016 until 6 June 2016.  There will be no extensions beyond the closing date.  Submissions on the Strategy and Priorities can be made by using the pro formas found below under the "Related Documents" heading and then emailing to MRFF@health.gov.au.
