Public Consultation of the Discussion Paper Towards the National Immunisation Strategy 2025-30
Overview
The Department of Health and Aged Care is undertaking an open public consultation on a new National Immunisation Strategy for 2025-2030 (the Strategy).
The public consultation is based on the document - Towards a National Immunisation Strategy 2025-2030 – which proposes a vision, mission, priority areas, and opportunities for action for the next Strategy.
Through an online survey, we are interested in your views and responses to the ideas put forward in the consultation paper. The survey should take you about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Please take the time to read the consultation paper before you fill in the survey. This will assist you in answering the questions and provide some contextual information about the current immunisation landscape in Australia.
This survey will close at 11:59 pm AEST on Wednesday, 19 June 2024.
If you or someone you know has something they would like to share about the National Immunisation Strategy but cannot complete this survey, please email NIS@health.gov.au.
All responses will be anonymous; however, participants should take care to exclude any identifiable information in their responses. Responses may be shared with third parties, published, or made publicly available. Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles and is being collected by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care for the purpose of enabling the Department to identify unique responses to the survey on the next National Immunisation Strategy. The department will not disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients. You can get more information about the way in which the Department of Health and Aged Care will manage your personal information, including our privacy policy, at Privacy policy | Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.
Why your views matter
This consultation is open to all Australians who would like to contribute and share their views, including:
- decision makers at all levels, including Australian, state and territory governments who have responsibility for immunisation policies and programs,
- advisory committees and policy-making bodies at national and state and territory levels,
- national immunisation program managers,
- researchers and research sector,
- the vaccine industry,
- health professionals involved in immunisation service delivery, and
- people representing community perspectives on public and preventive health.
Your feedback is critical in identifying opportunities for improvements of the new Strategy and will help inform the Australian Government's approach to protecting individuals and communities from the harms of vaccine-preventable diseases.
