Goals and smoking prevalence targets
Australia is already the only Western democracy to require a nicotine prescription to vape. Vaping is framed as a threat to public health, rather than an opportunity to improve it.
This is a clear cash grab by the government who cant let go of cigarettes as an obvious source of generating revenue, look to every other western nation, they're doing a better job!
Even without the planned anti-smoking measures, the benefit of vaping has been clearly demonstrated in New Zealand. Over the last 12 months, since new vaping legislation was introduced, there has been an unprecedented 20 percent decline in the adult (daily and non-daily) smoking rate (from 13.7 percent to 10.9 percent).

Additional comments
Legalise vaping already, its obvious to everyone that the restrictions on vaping while still offering cigarettes everywhere is just greedy revenue raising. If the government actually cared more about public health than revenue, vaping would have been easy and legal a long time ago. All the so called negative health impacts of vaping are largely misinformation by those with conflicting intrests.
