Redesign of the Quality Use of Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Pathology Program - First Nations Forum

Closed 25 Oct 2022

Opened 19 Oct 2022

Overview

The Department of Health and Aged Care is seeking to engage stakeholders regarding the redesign of the Quality Use of Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Pathology (QUDTP) Program. The QUDTP Program provides funding to improve the way medicines and medical tests are prescribed and used.

As part of the redesign, two proposed grant opportunities are intended to be delivered:

  1. Health Professional Education Grant Opportunity – focusing on educational (academic) activities for Health Professionals and Health Workers.
  2. Quality Use of Medicines Consumer Health Literacy Grant Opportunity – focusing on consumer health literacy.

On 18 October 2022 and 19 October 2022, the Department previously held two stakeholder sessions regarding these respective grant opportunities. If you have any questions regarding these past forums, please contact the Quality Use of Medicines Section at QUM@health.gov.au.

In addition to these forums, the Department will hold a two hour stakeholder session specifically targeting First Nations stakeholders, in which both the Health Professional Education Grant Opportunity and the Consumer Health Literacy Grant Opportunity will be discussed. Details of this online forum are below:

  • First Nations Forum (combined Health Professional Education Grant Opportunity and Consumer Health Literacy Grant Opportunity discussion) – Tuesday 25 October 2022, 10:00am – 12:00pm AEDT (Virtual)

Through this open discussion, the Department is committed to directly connecting with First Nations stakeholders with a focus on co-design to meet community needs.

Your attendance and participation in this co-design process is strongly encouraged. To register your interest and receive an email link to attend, please complete the survey below.
