Consultation on [the] Guide to prepare an application to the Prescribed List of Benefits for Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products
Overview
The purpose of this consultation is to seek feedback from stakeholders on the draft Guide to prepare an application to the Prescribed List of Benefits for Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products (the Guide).
The Guide will assist applicants to prepare an application to list a product on the Prescribed List of Benefits for Medical Devices and Human Tissue Products (the PL), or to amend an existing billing code.
The draft Guide refers to links and other documents that may not yet be live. However, once the finalised Guide is published, all links and documents will be available.
We intend to finalise and publish the Guide in time for applicants to use it to submit applications through the Health Products Portal (HPP) from 11 September 2023.
We ask stakeholders to use this opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Guide. However, we acknowledge that detailed feedback may only be provided until stakeholders have submitted an application through the HPP. As this is a living document, stakeholders will be able to provide further feedback once applications open through HPP. Ongoing feedback can be emailed to prosthesesreform@health.gov.au and will be used to inform future improvements.
