Contracted Service Provider Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) - 2025
Overview
Contracted Service Providers (providers) must ensure they comply with the requirements of the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (the program).
The Self Assessment Tool (SAT) is a mandatory, annual, online questionnaire that providers must complete to check their compliance with the program's contractual and legislative requirements (refer to the current Service Provider Contract (the contract), clause 16.8). The SAT helps providers review their policies and procedures, reducing the risk of non-compliance under the Hearing Services Administration Act 1997 (the Act), the Hearing Services Program (Voucher) Instrument 2019 (the instrument), the contract, and the Schedule of Service Items and Fees (the schedule). It also indicates where action is needed to support continuous quality improvement. Links to these documents are at the bottom of the page.
The SAT includes questions about service management systems, policies and procedures, client records management, and service and claiming requirements. A summary report, compiled from de-identified data, will be published on the program website in early 2026.
Please read each question carefully and make sure you understand it before responding. Some questions may require a "No" response for your circumstances, and if answered with a "Yes," will require further answers that may not relate to your circumstances.
