Overview

The Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) is consulting with stakeholders to remove information about Zostavax in the Australian Immunisation Handbook, with an intention to submit the revised chapter to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) for its approval under section 14A of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

Submission instructions

This public consultation will be open for a period of 30 days and you are invited to make a submission on the draft recommendation by 11.59PM on Tuesday, 27 August 2024.

How do I make a submission?

To make a submission, please click on the ‘Online Survey’ link below and follow the instructions. Please ensure you provide the page and section to which each of your comments refer. ATAGI will not accept:

  • Comments received after the consultation deadline (11.59PM on Tuesday, 27 August 2024);
  • Confidential information that you do not wish to make public; or
  • Comments which, in the opinion of ATAGI, are incorrect or inappropriate.

All responses will be anonymous; however, participants should take care to exclude any identifiable information in their responses. Responses may be shared with third parties, published, or made publicly available. Your personal information is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles and is being collected by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care for the purpose of enabling the Department to identify unique responses to the survey on the next National Immunisation Strategy.
