Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program - Audit feedback survey
Overview
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing takes a responsive regulation, risk-based approach to compliance monitoring for the Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program. Through compliance reviews and audits, the department works to ensure that public money is being spent appropriately and in line with the DSOA grant agreement and the DSOA program manual.
While audit outcomes vary for each organisation, the audit process is not designed to be punitive. Audits can provide an opportunity to pinpoint areas for process improvements within your organisation to ensure ongoing compliance.
There are several key legislative and contractual documents that govern the program. These documents are important to stay up to date with and should be applied to your operations.
Key documents include:
- the DSOA Program Grant Opportunity Guidelines
- the DSOA Grant Agreement (incorporating Schedule 1 – Standard Terms and Conditions and the Supplementary Terms and Conditions documents).
- The DSOA Program Manual
- documents incorporated by reference into the above documents
- compliance with all relevant state and territory and Commonwealth legislation and regulations.
