Reporting of residential aged care residents and aged care staff influenza vaccinations in 2023

As required under the Aged Care Act 1997, Accountability Principles, each aged care service must report the number of residential aged care residents and aged care staff who received an influenza vaccination in 2023.

This important information will support future vaccination activities in 2024 and ensures adequate steps have been taken to protect residents and staff from infectious diseases like Influenza.

Notice of Collection

Any personal information you provide to the Department of Health and Aged Care, such as name and contact details, will only be used for the purpose of your reporting of 2023 influenza vaccination for aged care services residents and staff.

Information collected about you will be used and disclosed in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997, Accountability Principles, and the Privacy Act 1988. Where applicable, your name and contact details will be disclosed in list format to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission for confirmation of reporting.
