Closed 7 Jan 2018

Opened 3 Dec 2017

Overview

Introduction

The Commonwealth Department of Health (the Department) is seeking feedback on the draft Implementation Plan for the National Health Genomics Policy Framework (the Framework).

The Framework was developed by the Commonwealth and states and territories under Australian Health Ministers’ Advisory Council governance arrangements. It was agreed by the Council of Australian Governments Health Council in November 2017. You can view the Framework by following the links below.

The purpose of the Implementation Plan is to identify, map and drive activities required to develop, support and maintain the implementation of the Framework. It is a joint Commonwealth and state and territory document, which outlines the coordinated action needed to integrate genomics into the Australian health care system.
