I always remind myself if its slightly confusing for me a younger person how it must be for older and bigger users of medications. Strongly agree on this point. I pay the one price in a post office to mail a standard letter then more so medications that a vital to my health and everyone's health ( we are talking about live saving medications here) should be a price that is consistent among all pharmacies .

More confusion. A policy setting that may or may not save the government money and simply confuse the user. Undermines the value of western medicines.

While you are at it pharmacies should lose selling of chocolates and the like, part of a pharmacy charter. Pharmacies do a lot of things well in regards to advice, counselling of medications and use of medicines, however can lift their game more so , lose selling confectionary and offer more health related services.

I just make one point here, I have lived in the country all my life @ Willow Tree NSW, have lost about every service, the last one been our post office and now have to travel further to pick up items that need signing and if your not there within 10 working days they send it back, but we still have a pharmacy in Murrurundi population 900 people, and we have trouble getting doctors even with numerous government policy settings to attract them. No need to loose our pharmacy as well

Yes significant opportunities do exist. Particularly in country areas where getting in to see a doctor is difficult.
Ageing population, makes sense
