15. What features of the existing assessment and monitoring process should be retained?

Retain assessment & monitoring processes
Keep the focus on health and personal care, lifestyle and safety.

16. What features of the existing assessment and monitoring process should be changed?

Change assessment & monitoring
Stop wasting time nitpicking things like meeting minutes/paperwork and stay focused on health and personal care-things that really matter. Sometimes it feels as though the auditors are trying to find things for that sake of writing stuff down. Be realistic-nursing homes are critically under-resourced, and generally staffed by people with limited education.

Additional comments

27. Do you have anything else that you would like to contribute to the Review?

Additional comments
I find it very difficult to reconcile the limited resources, extreme pressure and stress of working in aged care with the unrealistically high standards of accreditation. I think your auditors need to work in nursing homes for a while to get back into the real world.
